FileZilla is a popular and easy-to-use FTP client that allows you to upload, download, and manage files on your hosting account. Setting up an FTP connection with FileZilla is simple and requires your hosting credentials. Follow these steps to create an FTP connection using FileZilla:
Step 1: Log in to Webuzo
- Access your Webuzo account using your login credentials.
- After successful login, you will be redirected to the Webuzo dashboard.
Step 2: Locating your FTP Manual Settings
- Scroll down your Webuzo dashboard to the "FTP" section.
- Look for the "Manage FTP" option within this section and click on it.
- On the Manage FTP page, click on the spanner icon under options. This should show your FTP Manual Settings.
Step 3: Connecting via FileZilla
- Open FileZilla. You can download it here if you do not have it.
- In the Host field, input your FTP Server shown in your Webuzo dashboard under your FTP Manual Settings.
- In the Username field, input your FTP account username.
- In the Password field, input your FTP account password.
- In the Port field, input your FTP port shown in your Webuzo dashboard under your FTP Manual Settings.
- Click on the "Quickconnect" button.
- If there is an Unknown certificate prompt, select the checkbox of "Always trust this certificate in future sessions" and the click on the "OK" button.
Step 4: Transferring Your Files
- Choose your website files from the left column, your local device, and simply drag and drop them to the right column, your Webuzo File manager.
- Monitor the queue to view the status of your file transfer.
Step 5: Disconnecting from Server
- Once you are done transferring your files, simply press the "CTRL" key and "D" together to disconnect from the server.
By following these steps, you will successfully create an FTP connection and use FileZilla to transfer files.
