A domain redirect allows you to send visitors from one domain to another automatically. This is useful for consolidating traffic, rebranding, or directing users to a specific website. Follow these steps to set up a domain redirect on your hosting account:
Step 1: Log in to Webuzo
- Access your Webuzo account using your login credentials. You can watch our video tutorial here if you don't know how to log in to Webuzo - https://kwikaweb.com/index.php?rp=/knowledgebase/132/How-to-Log-in-to-Your-Webuzo-Control-Panel.html
- After successful login, you will be redirected to the Webuzo dashboard.
Step 2: Adding a Domain Redirect
- Scroll down your Webuzo dashboard to the "Domain" section.
- Look for the "Redirects" option within this section and click on it.
- Click on the "Add Redirect" button and select the domain.
- In the "Path" text box, enter the specific part of the URL you want the server to redirect. For example, to redirect http://example.com/directory/file.html to a new URL, input directory/file.html in this field.
- Select the type of redirect you want. Temporary (302) — This setting does not update the visitor’s bookmarks while Permanent (301) — This setting notifies the visitor’s browser to update its records.
- In the "Address" field, input the domain you are adding the redirect to. For example, https://testing.com
- Click on the "Add Redirect" button.
By following these steps, you will be able to successfully add a domain redirect from your Webuzo account.
